These terms and conditions are for both training and grooming purposes.

 

I understand that the Consultant/trainer will work directly with me and my dog to impart contemporary animal behavior knowledge that best fits our needs, and that successful companion dog programs depend on a combination of learned skills on the part of the dog and owner.  Behavior is not static; an animal will not continue to perform even trained behaviors without ongoing practice.  Especially in cases involving any type of aggression, although behavior may be modified, the dog is never considered "cured".  A dog's behavior is ultimately the owner's responsibility.  Consultant will make every reasonable effort to help us attain goals but makes no guarantees of performance on the part of Client or dog as a result of providing professional animals Behavior consultations or training.

 

Client acknowledges that obedience training/behavior modification may be an activity in which damage or injury to dog(s) and/or persons may occur.  Client will assume full financial/moral responsibility for the actions of their dog(s).  Client further acknowledges that dog(s) may be exposed to a variety of environmental conditions which include, but are not limited to, vehicular travel, interaction with people and other animals, exposure to adverse weather, and exposure to areas with crowds and all types of traffic.

 

I/We the Client agree that by hiring TAMED K9’s , LLC I, my/our heirs, assignees and legal representatives will not make claim against, sue, or attach the property of Consultant, his/her family, acquaintances, or any other person acting on his/her behalf (herein referred to as "Agents"), for injury or damage to or by dog(s) resulting from action or negligence, however caused, by Consultant or Agents.  I/We Client forever release Consultant and/or Agents from any and all liability and demands which I/We Client, and my/our heirs, assignees and legal representatives may have or may hereafter have for injury or damage to or by dog(s), and assume all risks thereof.

 

Client and Consultant hereby agree to mediate and/or arbitrate any misunderstandings that may arise pursuant to the terms contained herein.  In any action or proceeding arising out of this agreement, the prevailing party shall be entitled to reimbursement of costs and legal fees.

 

This Contract for Training Services supersedes all other agreements, written or oral, previously made between Client and Training Consultant.

I also agree to allow TAMED K9s to video me, my dog(s), and my property. I authorize TAMED K9’S, LLC to copyright, use, or publish these videos for educational purposes.

I agree to allow TAMED K9’s, LLC to contact my dog's veterinarian to discuss behavior and medical history.

 

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

I confirm that my dog(s)

• is up to date with all vaccines.

• is in good health and free of fleas, ticks, and parasites.

• is fit to participate in our outdoor activities.

 

 

VETERINARIAN LIABILITY AND CARE:

If your dog(s) requires urgent medical attention, TAMED K9’s will first contact you by mobile number in order to make the necessary arrangements.  If you cannot be reached and medical attention is required urgently, you hereby authorize TAMED K9’s to obtain medical treatment for your dog(s), if, in its sole discretion it appears that he/she is ill, injured or exhibits any other behavior that would reasonably suggest that your dog may need medical attention. I AGREE THAT I AM FULLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COST OF ANY SUCH MEDICAL TREATMENT, PROVIDED TO MY DOG.

 

AGGRESSIVE DOGS:

If my dog(s) show any signs of aggression to other dogs or humans, I hereby authorize TAMED K9’s, LLC, and/or representatives to use any of their training gear such as muzzle, or leash or methods such as separation or isolation etc for safety purposes. 

 

Emergencies: In the event of an emergency, I authorize TAMED K9's to immediately seek professional veterinary attention for my pet (at my expense). I understand that all attempts will be made to contact me in the event of an emergency.

 

Coat Condition: I understand that TAMED K9's puts my pet's comfort above all else. In the event that my pet's coat is matted, I understand that the groomer may have to shave the matts out rather than perform a painful dematting procedure. I also understand that's if my pet is severely matted, that there is an increased risk for clipper burn or cuts to occur. I understand that all attempts will be made to prevent this, however in many extreme matt conditions, it is unavoidable. I also understand that matted pet's take additional time to groom so there will be an additional fee added onto the regular grooming price if my pet's coat is matted.

 

Cancellation and Refund Policy:  Please provide a minimum of 24 hours’ notice if you choose to reschedule or cancel your appointment. Failure to provide notice 24 hours in advance will result in a $25 cancellation fee. If two appointments are missed without given notice, clients may then be required to pre-pay prior to scheduling any future appointments. We offer no refunds.

 

Health and Medical Conditions: Procedures within the grooming environment can be stressful for some dogs, especially for senior, young, overweight dogs or those with medical concerns. The process may expose unknown medical conditions or aggravate a current one during or after the groom. In the best interest of your pet this agreement will give TAMED K9’s permission to seek emergency veterinary treatment if we deem it necessary for whatever reason. We will do the best to contact you first, before taking your pet for treatment, however this may not always be feasible. Unless we are deemed to be negligent all medical expenses are the responsibility of the owner. By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions you are expressly agreeing to the following disclaimer:

 

Elderly, Infirm, Overweight or Young Dogs Disclaimer 

A full groom can take in-excess of 3 hours and is physically demanding as well as stressful for some animals. Whilst TAMED K9’s make every effort to provide additional support to elderly/infirm/overweight and young dogs we cannot guarantee that your dog will be able to adequately support themselves for the duration of the groom which may result in serious health risks. There is also an increased risk of other injuries such as cuts and grazes. TAMED K9’s reserve the right to stop the grooming process at anytime with payment in full being due on collection of your dog.

 

Parasites: If you suspect your pet has fleas or ticks, you must notify the groomer. Flea infestation can lead to tapeworm and other health problems.  We do offer effective products and can apply treatment if requested. If fleas or ticks are found during the grooming process, your pet will receive a flea bath to kill the parasites and an extra charge will be applied. Ticks found will be removed and an additional charge may be applied.  If ticks are found, we strongly suggest you have your pet tested for Lyme disease or other tick borne illnesses. Please not that parasites are a health hazard to your pet as well as humans.

 

Vaccinations: By using our services, owners confirm that their dog is up to date with their annual vaccinations against Canine Distemper, Infectious Canine Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, and Canine Parvovirus. An unvaccinated dog may put itself and others at risk. TAMED K9’s takes no responsibility for any dog that may contract any of the aforementioned diseases.

TAMED K9’s may ask for proof of vaccination and veterinary information which must be provided.

Behavioral Charges

Aggression: Owners have the obligation to inform TAMED K9’s of any known aggressive behavior traits their pet may have to other animals or humans. Specifically, the owner must inform TAMED K9’s if they have been advised by pervious groomer(s) of any of the aforementioned behaviors.

 

Nervous/Anxious Dogs: Although TAMED K9’s caters to dogs with nervous traits, owners have the obligation to inform us of any such behaviors in order for us to cater to their needs to the best of our ability.

 

Behavioral charges will be decided by TAMED K9’s depending on the severity of the behavior and the time, skill, and equipment required to groom the dog. If your dog should bite you agree to be responsible for all related medical bills, loss of earnings and equipment damage. We reserve the right to refuse service if we believe your dog may become a danger to itself or those within the salon. In the event any of these behaviors present during the groom the session may stopped at anytime and the full fee incurred.

 

Please let your dog go potty before appointment. Mess ups could result in an additional fee.

 

Time Keeping: TAMED K9’s works to a strict time frame to ensure that your dog receives ample grooming time and one-to-one care. We expect to admit you at your given appointment time, if you are early we may not be able to grant immediate access and would ask that you wait until you allocated time. Likewise, if you are more than 15 minutes late we will may have to reschedule your groom on welfare grounds as rushing the groom may lead to unnecessary stress and possible injury. 

 

Pricing: Any prices provided are an estimate only. Additional charges may be incurred due to:

• Unkept/neglected coats

• Aggressive, senior, nervous or timid dogs that require additional handling

• Fleas and/or ticks

• Dogs that require additional handling for whatever reason

 

Memberships

 ALL memberships will be billed automatically on a reoccurring basis. A 30 day notice will be required if you choose to cancel. If a 30 day notice is not given, your card on file will be billed for the following month.

 

Photos and Videos:

I allow TAMED K9’s, employees,  to use my dog’s name, images and video taken while at Daycare in any form, format, for use, at any time, in any media, marketing, advertising, illustration, and trade or promotion materials. I agree that this provision shall be bound on me and all my successors, heirs, legal representatives and assignees.

 

 

 

Hold Harmless Agreement:

By using our services you agree to TAMED K9’s, LLC, its owners, employees and directors harmless from any damage, loss, or claim arising from any condition of the dog, either known or unknown to us. It is also further understood and agreed the terms of this agreement can change at any time, without notice, and will overwrite any and all prior signed contracts or releases. It is further understood this clause applies to any and all dogs groomed.

 

GDPR Statement: In order for us to provide the requested services, we are required to obtain and store a limited amount of your personal information. Such information will be stored in accordance with all relevant legislation, will never be shared with any 3rd parties or organizations and will only be used for the purposes of providing the requested or related services. You have the right to request and review any of your personal information. Please make any requests to hello@tamedk9s.com

   

Late Pick-Ups: Please be on time to pick-up your pet(s). After 1 hour after groom is complete, dog(s) must be picked. We work by appointment and do not have the staff or facilities for your pet to stay after the groom has been completed. To enforce this policy, a $25 kennel fee per hour may be added to your invoice.

   

   

Cancellations during Holiday weeks will result in a $50 no show fee and pre-payment may be needed prior to ALL future appointments.

I allow TAMED K9’s, employees,  to use my dog’s name, images and video taken while at Daycare in any form, format, for use, at any time, in any media, marketing, advertising, illustration, and trade or promotion materials. I agree that this provision shall be bound on me and all my successors, heirs, legal representatives and assignees.

 

I HAVE READ THIS AGREEMENT AND UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS AN AGREEMENT TO INDEMNIFY TAMED K9’S AND THE OTHER RELEASED PARTIES AND IT IS A WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND A PROMISE NOT TO SUE OR MAKE A CLAIM.  I AM AWARE THAT THIS AGREEMENT IS A CONTRACT BETWEEN TAMED K9’S AND ME, AND THAT BY ENROLLING MY DOG(S) IN THE SERVICES, I HAVE ACKNOWLEDGED THIS SERVICE CONTRACT.

 

I have read and agreed to the policies of TAMED K9’s for my dog(s).
